Pick and Drop Service in Pakistan

One driver, one agreed rate, the same two journeys every working day

A pick and drop service is a standing arrangement, not a booking. You agree a route, a time and a per-day rate with one driver, and that driver arrives at the same place at the same time every working day until the month ends. Nothing is re-negotiated each morning, nobody cancels on you at 8:20, and the price does not move because it is raining.

Booking a ride twice a day is the wrong tool for a journey you make forty-four times a month. Every one of those bookings is a fresh search, a fresh price and a fresh chance that no driver accepts — and at peak hours in Karachi or Lahore that chance is not small. A monthly arrangement removes the search entirely.

What You Actually Get

The rate is agreed before the month starts

You and the driver settle a per-day figure for your exact route. It does not change with demand, weather or fuel for the length of the plan, so the month is a number you can budget rather than a number you discover.

The same driver, not a different stranger daily

One person learns your route, your gate and your timing. For a school run or a woman commuting alone, that continuity is the point — and every driver is CNIC-verified before they can accept work.

You are not paying for an empty car

Shareide prices per seat. If two colleagues on your road share the plan, each pays for a seat instead of each paying for a whole car — which is the single biggest saving available on a daily commute.

A day you did not travel is a day accounted for

Plans are settled day by day, so an absence is visible in the record rather than argued about at month end. If a driver waited and you never came, that day is owed to them; the calendar shows exactly which days ran.

Common Arrangements

Office pick and dropHome to office and back, five or six days a week. The commonest plan we run, and the one where per-seat sharing saves most on long cross-city routes.
School pick and dropA fixed driver for the school run, with the same person every day rather than whoever is available. Parents can request a woman driver where one is on the route.
University commuteTimetables repeat weekly, which is exactly the pattern a monthly plan is built for — including early classes no on-demand driver wants at 7am.
Factory and shift workPre-dawn and late shifts are the hardest hours to book a ride in. A plan is booked at the time you set, not at the time someone happens to be online.

What It Costs

The actual rate card — a plan's per-day figure is agreed against your route

VehicleBasePer kmMinimumSeats
Bike Rs 35 Rs 13 Rs 120 1
Rickshaw Rs 80 Rs 26 Rs 240 2
Car Rs 105 Rs 38 Rs 360 3
AC / Premium Rs 155 Rs 51 Rs 480 3
Carry Daba Rs 115 Rs 33 Rs 480 5
Hiace Rs 255 Rs 63 Rs 750 8

Fare = base + (km × per-km rate) + (minutes × per-minute rate), never below the minimum. A monthly plan does not meter each trip — you and the driver agree one per-day figure for your route, and per-seat sharing divides it. Rates last checked 2026-09-01; the app always shows the live price before you confirm.

Pick and Drop Service FAQs

What does a pick and drop service cost in Pakistan?
It depends on distance, vehicle and whether you share the car. As a reference, Shareide fares are built from a base plus a per-km rate — for a car, Rs 105 base plus Rs 38 per km — and a monthly plan takes a per-day figure agreed against your specific route rather than metering each trip. Sharing the car with one or two people on the same road divides that figure.
Is pick and drop cheaper than booking a ride every day?
For a route you travel every working day, almost always. You are removing the peak-hour price and the risk of no driver accepting, and if the seats are shared you are paying a fraction of the whole-car fare. The break-even is usually well under a full month.
Can I get a woman driver for a school or family pick and drop?
You can request one, and the preference is honoured wherever a woman driver serves that route. Every driver on the platform is CNIC-verified regardless.
What happens if I do not travel one day?
The day is recorded rather than silently absorbed. Plans settle day by day, so the record shows which days ran, which were skipped and which the driver was left waiting for.
Which cities is pick and drop available in?
All nine cities Shareide operates in — Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar, Hyderabad and Sialkot. Matching is quickest along the main commute corridors in each.
