Islamabad is the easiest Pakistani city to drive in and one of the more awkward to commute in without a car. The sectors are spread out by design, the work concentrates in Blue Area and the government enclave, and a very large share of the people doing that work sleep in Rawalpindi. The daily journey is a twin-city one, and that is what makes a fixed daily arrangement more valuable here than a fresh booking each morning.
The Metro Bus covers the Pindi–Islamabad spine and the airport line well, and nothing off them. Sector-to-sector travel — G-11 to I-9, F-7 to Blue Area — is a car problem.
