Pick and Drop Service Near Me: What It Costs in 9 Pakistani Cities
Monthly pick and drop runs in nine Pakistani cities, from about Rs 10,560 a month for a shared seat. Here is the price on the busiest commute in each city, how the rate is worked out, and the distance at which sharing beats driving yourself.

"Pick and drop service near me" is one of the most-typed commute searches in Pakistan, and the honest answer is that it depends on two things only: which city you are in, and how far you travel each way. Shareide runs monthly pick and drop in nine cities, and the cheapest plan on our published rate card works out to about Rs 10,560 a month for a shared seat. Here is what it costs on the busiest commute in each city, at today's rates.
What pick and drop costs in your city
Each figure below is a monthly plan: two trips a day, twenty-two working days, with one CNIC-verified driver collecting you at the same time each morning. "Shared seat" means you split the car with two other riders going the same way; "whole car" means you keep it to yourself.
- Karachi — Gulshan-e-Iqbal to I.I. Chundrigar Road, 16 km each way: about Rs 20,900 a month per shared seat, Rs 31,372 for the whole car.
- Lahore — Johar Town to Gulberg, 9 km: about Rs 13,112 per seat, Rs 19,668 whole car.
- Islamabad — G-11/G-13 to Blue Area, 10 km: about Rs 14,212 per seat, Rs 21,340 whole car.
- Rawalpindi — Saddar to Blue Area, 16 km across Faizabad: about Rs 20,900 per seat, Rs 31,372 whole car.
- Faisalabad — Peoples Colony to the Clock Tower bazaars, 6 km: about Rs 10,560 per seat, Rs 15,840 whole car.
- Multan — Gulgasht Colony to Bosan Road, 5 km: about Rs 10,560 per seat, Rs 15,840 whole car.
- Peshawar — Hayatabad to University Road, 10 km: about Rs 14,212 per seat, Rs 21,340 whole car.
- Hyderabad — Latifabad to Qasimabad, 6 km: about Rs 10,560 per seat, Rs 15,840 whole car.
- Sialkot — the city to Sialkot International Airport, 18 km: about Rs 23,144 per seat, Rs 34,716 whole car.
Short routes all land on the same number because a minimum fare applies: anything under about seven kilometres is priced the same, which is why a 5 km Multan run and a 6 km Hyderabad run both come to Rs 10,560.
How the price is worked out
There is no separate pick-and-drop tariff. A car is Rs 105 base plus Rs 38 per kilometre, never below Rs 360, and a shared seat is that whole-car fare split across three riders. A monthly plan is simply that figure for two trips a day across twenty-two working days, agreed with the driver before the month starts so it does not move with demand, weather or the fuel price. You can see the full route-by-route list for your own city on its pick and drop page.
Is it cheaper than driving yourself?
Petrol reached Rs 393.75 a litre on 22 September 2026. At that price, a shared seat costs less for the month than the petrol alone for a 13 km-per-litre car once your commute passes about 14.5 km each way — before parking, maintenance, or the hour you spend driving. On the 37 real commutes we track, a seat now beats own-car petrol on nine of them.
Below that distance your own car is still cheaper on fuel, and a motorbike is cheaper than both. The full comparison, city by city and route by route, is in the Shareide Commute Cost Report, which re-prices itself every time the pump rate changes. To check your own vehicle and route, use the fuel cost calculator.
Finding one in your own area
This is where "near me" matters. Shareide is not a fixed list of routes with fixed stops: you post your own pickup address, your drop address and the times you need, and the plan goes out to every driver whose daily road already matches yours. A driver who passes your street on the way to work is the one who offers, so the service exists wherever drivers already drive, not only on advertised corridors.
That also means the wait depends on your road. Plans fill fastest on the main commute corridors into each city's office belt, and a little slower off them. Posting the route costs nothing and you only commit once you accept a driver's rate.
For students, offices and women
The same plan is used three different ways, and each has its own page with the prices worked out:
- University pick and drop — a timetable repeats every week, and three classmates from one neighbourhood each pay a third of the car.
- Office pick and drop and company point service — one seat, or a whole Hiace or coaster for a team with a door pickup for every seat.
- Pick and drop for women — a female driver can be requested, and the seating rules are applied when the booking is made rather than left to the driver.
Every driver clears a CNIC check with a face match against the card photo, plus licence and vehicle checks, before they can accept any work. Live tracking, trip sharing and an SOS button run on every ride. To post a route in your own area, download the Shareide app.
