Fuel Average in Pakistan: What Every Common Car and Bike Costs Per Kilometre
At Rs 398.30 a litre, a Honda CD 70 costs about Rs 8.0 per km and a Kia Sportage about Rs 44.3. Here is the fuel average of every vehicle Pakistanis actually drive, what it costs per 100 km, and what it costs a month.

"Fuel average" is the first number Pakistanis ask about a car, and it is the only one that decides what a commute really costs. Petrol is Rs 398.30 a litre as of 10 October 2026 and High Speed Diesel Rs 396.24, read from the official PSO rate. At that price, here is what each vehicle costs to move one kilometre.
The averages below are realistic mixed-city figures, not showroom claims. Your own car will sit above or below them depending on its condition, the air conditioning, and how much of your route is stop-start traffic.
Cost per kilometre, cheapest first
| Vehicle | Fuel average | Per km | Per 100 km | 40 km a day, 22 days |

| Yamaha YBR 125 | 40 km/l | Rs 10.0 | Rs 996 | Rs 8,763 |
| Honda CG 125 | 38 km/l | Rs 10.5 | Rs 1,048 | Rs 9,224 |
| Suzuki Alto (660cc) | 18 km/l | Rs 22.1 | Rs 2,213 | Rs 19,472 |

| Suzuki Mehran | 15 km/l | Rs 26.6 | Rs 2,655 | Rs 23,367 |
| Suzuki Swift | 15 km/l | Rs 26.6 | Rs 2,655 | Rs 23,367 |
| Toyota Yaris | 14 km/l | Rs 28.5 | Rs 2,845 | Rs 25,036 |
| Honda City | 13 km/l | Rs 30.6 | Rs 3,064 | Rs 26,962 |
| Toyota Corolla | 12 km/l | Rs 33.2 | Rs 3,319 | Rs 29,209 |
| Honda Civic | 11 km/l | Rs 36.2 | Rs 3,621 | Rs 31,864 |
| Suzuki Bolan (Carry) | 11 km/l | Rs 36.2 | Rs 3,621 | Rs 31,864 |
| Toyota Hiace (diesel) | 9 km/l | Rs 44.0 | Rs 4,403 | Rs 38,743 |
| Kia Sportage | 9 km/l | Rs 44.3 | Rs 4,426 | Rs 38,945 |
The last column is a 20 km commute each way, 22 working days — roughly a normal month of getting to work and back.
What the gap actually is
A Honda CD 70 at 50 km a litre costs Rs 8.0 per km. A Kia Sportage at 9 km a litre costs Rs 44.3 — about 5.6 times as much for the same distance. Over that 40 km a day month it is the difference between Rs 7,010 and Rs 38,945.
Grouped up: the average motorbike here runs the month on about Rs 8,332 of petrol, the average car on about Rs 24,788. That is why so much of Pakistan commutes on two wheels — and why the cost of switching to four is a monthly bill, not a one-off.
The numbers this leaves out
Everything above is fuel only. A car also costs tyres, oil, filters, brake pads, insurance and the repair that arrives without warning, plus whatever parking costs where you work. A bike costs less of all of those, and more in risk. Neither number includes the hour or two a day you spend driving.
Work it out for your own car
Two litres of margin either way changes the answer, so use your real average rather than the table: the fuel cost calculator takes your vehicle, your distance and your own km per litre at the live petrol price. The rate itself, and every change we have recorded, is on the petrol price tracker and the diesel price tracker.
The cheapest average is the one you share
A car's fuel average does not change when someone rides with you. The cost per person does. A Suzuki Alto (660cc) doing 18 km a litre burns Rs 2,213 over 100 km whether one person is in it or three — which is the whole idea behind buying a seat instead of a car. What the same commute costs shared, corridor by corridor, is in the Shareide Commute Cost Report, and the per-seat rate for your own city is on the pick and drop price list.
Prices on this page are the official PSO rate as of 10 October 2026, and this page is rewritten automatically whenever that rate changes. Fuel averages are realistic estimates for mixed city driving, not showroom figures.
