Shareide Fleet App: A Screen-by-Screen Tutorial

New to Shareide Fleet, or just want to know what every screen actually does? This is a practical tour of the app drivers use every day, from going online to checking your earnings.

Shareide Fleet App: A Screen-by-Screen Tutorial

Shareide Fleet is built to be simple enough to use one-handed at a red light, but that doesn't mean every screen is obvious the first time you see it. This is a plain walkthrough of the main parts of the app, in the order you'll actually use them on a normal working day.

The home screen and going online

When you open the app, the home screen shows your current status — online or offline — with a single toggle to switch. Going online tells the system you're available and starts sending you nearby ride requests. A few things worth knowing about this screen:

  • Your location dot updates continuously while you're online, which is what lets the matching system find you for nearby requests.
  • Demand indicators can give you a rough sense of busier areas, useful when you're deciding where to park up between trips.
  • Going offline is instant and safe to do anytime — for a break, prayer, fuel stop, or the end of your day.

Requests, navigation, and the trip itself

When a ride request comes in, you'll see the pickup location, an approximate distance, and a short countdown to accept or pass. Once accepted:

  • The route to pickup opens automatically so you're not fumbling for a separate maps app.
  • Passenger details — name and pickup notes if provided — sit right above the map.
  • Trip status buttons ("Arrived," "Start trip," "Complete trip") move the ride forward at each stage; these matter because they're what triggers fare calculation and, eventually, your payout.
  • In-trip contact options let you reach the rider without exchanging personal numbers, which keeps things simple and a bit more private for both sides.

Earnings and your profile

The earnings screen breaks down what you've made — by trip, by day, and over longer stretches — so you can see exactly how per-seat fares are adding up, not just a lump total. It's also where you'll see any commission or payout details tied to each ride, which is worth checking regularly rather than only at the end of the week.

Your profile screen holds your documents, vehicle details, and rating history. Keep this updated — an expired document or an old vehicle photo is a common, avoidable reason for a hiccup in your account status. If a screen ever behaves unexpectedly, it's usually faster to check the FAQ first, then reach support if the issue persists.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use the app without a data connection?

The app needs an active connection to receive requests and update navigation, so a stable mobile data plan is important — patchy connectivity is one of the most common causes of missed rides.

Why don't I see any ride requests even when I'm online?

This usually comes down to low demand in your immediate area at that moment, or a location/connectivity issue. Moving toward a busier road often helps.

Where do I update my vehicle details if I change cars?

That's done from your profile screen, and any new vehicle needs to go through the same registration check as your original one before it's active on your account.
