Being honest about that is more useful than pretending otherwise — because within those limits, a booked private ride is often the most workable option available, and a few specific decisions make a large difference.

Why a booked ride usually beats the alternatives

Plan these five things before booking

1. The exact pickup point, chosen for kerb height, step-free access, and shade — not for what is closest on the map.

3. Whether a companion travels. For most trips, yes — book the seat rather than improvising.
4. Extra time at both ends. Getting in and out takes longer than any app estimate, and a rushed transfer is where injuries happen.
5. The right entrance at the destination. Hospitals, offices, and shopping centres often have one accessible entrance among several.

Talk to the driver before they arrive

One short message or call at the start prevents almost every problem: that the passenger has limited mobility, where exactly to stop, whether help is needed with a folded chair, and that a little extra time will be required. Where the honest limits are

• There is no widely available wheelchair-accessible vehicle fleet in Pakistan. A standard car requires the passenger to transfer into a seat, with the chair folded and stowed.

• Destination infrastructure is unpredictable. The ride can reach the door; whether the door works is not something a ride can solve.
